Today we celebrate the one year anniversary of the greatest Star Wars fan film ever produced - Fanboys!
One February 6th 2009, Fanboys was released in theaters across the United States in a very limited capacity, with only a few select cities chosen to show the premiere.
But as word spread among movie-goers about the film, it slowly (and then rather quickly) received the attention it rightfully deserved and became available for fans to enjoy nationwide on a much larger scale. International release dates then followed, culminating with the DVD release of Fanboys on May 19th.
One year later, fans are still enjoying director Kyle Newman's "love letter" to Star Wars, and will continue to do so in the future (Fanboys 2 anyone? Sign me up!)
From everyone here at TheForce.net, The ForceCast, Rebelscum, and fans across the globe, we wish Kyle, Jaime King, and the entire cast/crew of Fanboys a very Happy Anniversary!
Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
