Blastr.com reports that Mark Hamill has announced his official retirement from voicing the Joker after almost 20 years. During that time span, Hamill has lended his voice to the Joker in a variety of cartoons and video games, starting with 1992's Batman: The Animated Series. His last Joker perfromance can be heard in the newly released Batman: Arkham City video game. Here is what Mark had to say via Twitter:
"Hello/Goodbye Joker! I've enjoyed every minute behind the wheel of the Crown Prince's crazy car - I'm going to miss him more than I can say!!"
In more Mark Hamill news, as we previously reported back during San Diego Comic Con, he will be guest starring as a villain in the the season premiere of Chuck's fifth and final season. That episode is scheduled to air this coming Friday, October 28 at 8:00pm on NBC.
