It appears that The Walt Disney Company has continued to scale down its newest major acquisition. A few hours ago, this tweet from a former Product Development Manager at Lucasfilm came across our feed:

We've reached out to Lucasfilm for comment and will update this post as we learn more.
UPDATE: Jennifer Heddle, a senior editor at LucasBooks (which is a department of Lucas Licensing), said that there were no layoffs among Lucasfilm's publishing staff.
UPDATE #2: Deadline is reporting that "more than two dozen" Lucasfilm staffers lost their jobs in the company's latest purge. It also says that the employees whose jobs were cut worked in "financing, licensing, and distribution." There is a bit of good news in Deadline's report, though. It appears that this is the last round of layoffs for the foreseeable future.
In an email to employees earlier this month, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy said all significant organization changes at company would be completed by the end of April. Sources tell me that this latest round of cuts is presumed to be the last...
