Everyone needs a fun, Star Wars-inspired craft during the holiday season! With a little imagination and maybe some help from a fellow fan or two, you really can have a Christmas in the Stars! Trim your tree with these Star Wars planets and moons!
What You Need, Hoth: ? Clear, round glass Ornament Balls with a wide opening ? Fake snow: This can be any type of fake snow, but the ?sheets? of snow work best. ? White Glitter ? Funnel ? Wooden kabob skewer or chopstick
Instructions for Hoth:
1. Using the funnel pour the desired amount of white glitter into the globe. Stopper the globe with your finger, and shake the glitter until some of it is coating the sides of the globe. 2. Cut a small swath of ?snow? and using your wooden tool, stuff the snow into the globe. The less even and ?craggier? you make it, the more it resembles Hoth. 3. Once again, use the funnel to add a tiny bit of glitter to the top of the ?snow? in order to create icy peaks! 4. Reattach the globe to its stopper and hang on your tree!
What You Need, Tatooine: ? Clear, round glass Ornament Balls with a wide opening ? Sand (It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.) ? Funnel ? Small hobby seashells. ? Craft Glue or a glue gun.
Instructions for Tatooine:
1. Using the funnel, fill your ornament ball one third of the way with sand. 2. Find the lightest colored seashells in your shell mix. 3. Glue five to six shells together in approximation of a Krayt dragon skeleton. REMEMBER: Make the skeleton as thin as possible. It has to fit through the hole! 4. Drop your ?krayt dragon? into the sand and using your wooden tool, place it strategically to your liking! 5. Reattach the globe to its stopper and hang on your tree!
What You Need, Endor:
? Clear, round glass Ornament Balls with a wide opening ? Fake foliage. I recommend the prepackaged, dried moss from your local craft store. ? One or Two artificial coniferous tree limbs. The skinnier the better! ? Tiny, tiny pebbles (if desired!) ? Wooden kabob skewer or chopstick ? Small, wire cutters
Instructions for Endor:
1. Tear off small pieces of your fake foliage. 2. Stuff the pieces into the globe using your wooden tool. 3. When you?ve reached your desired amount of forestation, add small pebbles if desired. 4. Using the wire cutters, cut off a tiny two to three inch part of the artificial tree limb. Place your new ?tree? into your Endor habitat. 5. Reattach the globe to its stopper and hang on your tree!
You can customize these planets and moons however you wish: The possibilities are endless! Happy Holiday Crafting!
Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
