Clone Wars Event In North Carolina

Joining forces to entertain The Clone Wars movie goers the Carolina 501st, Rebel Legion's Freedom Base and the Mandalorians Mercs will appear at AMC Theaters 24 in Concord Mills Saturday, August 16th from 2pm - 8pm. Various Star Wars characters will be available to pose for pictures.

Also joining the characters will be R2-KT ? an astromech droid featured in the The Clone Wars movie. R2-KT was created in 2005 by Jerry Greene, master droid builder, with the help of the R2 Builders Group. She was built in honor of one very brave little girl named Katie Johnson who had brain cancer. It was Katie's wish to have a pink robot like R2-D2 from Star Wars, so Jerry and the R2 Builders Group worked very hard and created a one-of-a-kind droid named R2-KT (which sounds like R2-Katie).

This will be the only place where R2-KT will make an appearance in conjunction with The Clone Wars movie release.

There will be giveaways and lots of photographic opportunities.
