A tribute to 35 years of Star Wars comics is coming to San Francisco's Cartoon Art Museum according to a post on the museum's website...
"On Tuesday, May 15, the Cartoon Art Museum welcomes Howard Chaykin and Steve Leialoha for a special presentation on the origins of the Star Wars comic book and their experiences in creating the official Marvel Comics adaptation of the film. What was it like seeing the film for the first time? When did they realize that Star Wars was a hit? How involved was LucasFilm in the comic books? Learn the answers to these questions and more during our Star Wars Anniversary Celebration.
Comedian, cartoonist and longtime Star Wars fan Michael Capozzola will moderate the discussion, and Also appearing with Chaykin and Leialoha is acclaimed comedian Joe Klocek will conduct a special Star Wars Q&A following the presentation."
