CVI: Ian McDiarmid Will Be There!

In what is undoubtedly the biggest convention news so far, StarWars.com has announced that Ian McDiarmid will be attending Celebration VI in Orlando, FL, from August 23-26, 2012. CVI will mark the first U.S. Celebration appearance for McDiarmid, who played Palpatine in five of the six Star Wars films (counting his appearance on the Episode V DVD). He was present for the opening ceremonies of Celebration Europe in 2007. In addition to signing autographs, McDiarmid will "appear on stage in special behind-the-scenes programming."

McDiarmid joins Peter Mayhew, Carrie Fisher, and Jeremy Bulloch, along with other actors and behind-the-scenes talent, in a guest lineup that currently includes fifteen celebrities.
