Here's a sneak peek at the helmet that Alex Alva created for the project at The New Wookiee Workshop with assistance from Philip Wise. You can see more submissions on the As You Wish Facebook page, or check out Dave Myatt's photo gallery from SDCC.
The As You Wish Project is a charity art event featuring reimagined Boba Fett and Clone Trooper helmets which will be exhibited at Star Wars: Celebration VI and then sold on eBay with all proceeds benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
This project is sponsored by The Dented Helmet, eFX Collectibles and the 501st.
The Sponsors:
The Dented Helmet - (http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/) is supplying all of the Boba Fett helmets for this charity event and helping with all the logistics.
The 501st Legion - (http://www.501st.com/) is helping with the logistics for this charity event.
The Exhibit(s):
Comic Con: They will be displaying a limited number of helmets as a teaser in the Star Wars pavilion at San Diego Comic Con between July 11-15, 2012. Click here to see a gallery of what was on display!
Star Wars: Celebration VI: They will be displaying all of the helmets in the Dented Helmet booth / As You wish Exhibit at Star Wars: Celebration VI in Orlando, FL between August 23-26, 2012.
The Auction: After the exhibit at Star Wars: Celebration VI, they will be handing the helmets over to the Make-A-Wish Foundation who will be auctioning the helmets off, early in Sept 2012 on eBay. As soon as they have a confirmed date for the start of the auction, we will post it here.
The Money: 100% of the proceeds from this project are going to Make-A-Wish. In fact, they will never even touch any money as Make-A-Wish will handle the auctioning of the helmets themselves, so the money will go directly to them and never pass through their hands.
Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
