While Halloween may be just a few short weeks away, it looks like somebody decided to get an early jump on the mischievousness (and unfortunately Star Wars was involved).
According to this article from WSMV.com, a Chewbacca Halloween mask that is reportedly valued at $600 was stolen from a costume shop in Clarksville, Tennessee:
"Workers at a Clarksville costume shop said the theft of a Halloween mask could be costly to their business. Employees of Backstage Costume Rental said a Star Wars Chewbacca mask valued at $600 was recently taken from their store. Representatives of the store said the mask is often rented out with other Star Wars characters, so they are afraid the theft could affect the rental of other costumes.
The public is urged to call Clarksville police if they know the whereabouts of the mask."
Memo to the person(s) who stole the mask: Was this REALLY worth it? Look, just follow the righteous Path of the Jedi and return the stolen mask. You know you're not gonna be able to sell it for anywhere near the $600 value it has, and with your luck you'll just get it ruined if you wear it on Halloween and somebody eggs you in the back of the head for being a Star Wars geek. So save yourself the embarrassment and eventual headache and just return the mask to the store.
Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
