Saturday, September 17th will feature the third annual Star Wars Day here in Bel Air, Maryland. (It's always fun posting about something that's actually happening in my hometown.) The fun starts at the Tiddlywinks toy store on Main Street with visits from the 501st and R2-D2. Lots of Star Wars goodies will be for sale, including some fantastic Katie Cook-designed t-shirts from Celebration V.
From there the fun will move to The Arena Club, a local athletic club, for a screening of A New Hope on one of their indoor fields.
Click on the image below for the full schedule of events. A portion of the proceeds from both venues will go to support the charity Chesapeake Theraputic Riding. Bear in mind that those proceeds come from retail and concession sales. The events themselves are free for all!
My son had a blast at the first Star Wars Day in Bel air a couple years ago and that event only featured R2-D2. The event is getting bigger each year so make sure to stop by with your costumes and cameras.

Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
