Current Results Were The Prequels "Lackluster Blockbusters"? Posted By Mike on May 12, 2008 Love or hate the Prequels compared to the Original Trilogy, they were still huge summer movies when they were released. As a build up to this year's summer movies, Sean Nelson at MSN Movies has listed a number of blockbuster movies that he considers "promised us greatness but gave us misery". All 3 prequels make the list and you can check it out here. Take it with a grain of salt for it's just one writer's opinion. Let's face it, this guy also included E.T., and all 3 Spiderman movies as well. The first Spiderman, in my opinion, is one of the great comic book origin movies (though Ironman may now take that title) and Spiderman 2 is widely considered one of the best sequels out there that stands up to, if not exceeds, the original. On the other hand I agree that Spiderman 3 stunk! Oh well, I just added my opinions to a piece where I said don't worry about one person's opinion. You know what they say, "Opinions are like..."
