RIP To Rachael Ambrose Of The Galactic Drift

Catching up on a post from Saturday, the Star Wars Books Facebook page passed along the unfortunate news that Racheal Ambrose of the blog The Galactic Drift passed away last Friday. Here's Erich's post...

"Sad news, the fan community lost a bright voice last night when Racheal Ambrose was killed in a car accident. Her husband posted the news on her blog, The Galactic Drift. While I didn't know Racheal personally I was a regular reader of her blog and traded a tweet or two with her about the EU. Just a couple days ago I mailed a copy of Mercy Kill out to her and according to her husband's post she was headed home to read it. The Del Rey family passes our heartfelt condolences to her husband and family. And I can't think of a better way of honoring a fellow fan then to take a few minutes and read some of the great writing she posted on her blog. (Erich)"

While I'm not sure I had any personal interaction with Rachael, we certainly appreciate her contributions to the Star Wars fan community.
