"More than 100,000 people had visited the Science Museum's "Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination" exhibit as of Monday, marking it the fastest the St. Paul museum has reached that attendance milestone.
It took only 32 days for "Star Wars" to hit the 100,000 mark. That beat the previous mark set in 2006 when it took 34 days for "Body Worlds" to attract that number of visitors."
UPDATE: It seems as if the Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination exhibit, now in Minnesota, has been extended for an additional 3 days. From StarTribune.com:
"Science Museum of Minnesota officials announced today that they have extended the run of "Star Wars" by three days and it will now close on Aug. 27.
The traveling blockbuster exhibit featuring 80 costumes, models, and props from all six "Star Wars" films was scheduled to close Aug. 24. But museum officials said they could add the extra dates to accommodate high ticket demand and still be ready to host events associated with the Republican National Convention Sept. 1-4 at the nearby Xcel Energy Center."
