The AP talked to Jimmy Smits, who plays Bail Organa in Episodes 2 & 3, about his experiences working on Star Wars. Here's a clip of the article from SingOnSanDiego.com:
For Jimmy Smits, it was the movie and not the role that counted with "Star Wars."
"I think I spent more time in the wardrobe department than I did on the set" of 2002's "Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones," Smits said.
That didn't keep him from reprising his role as Sen. Bail Organa in George Lucas' "Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith," out May 19. It's the last of the series that began with "Star Wars" in 1977.
"It was fascinating to be there and watch the world this guy (Lucas) has created over the past 30 years. ... He'll start talking about it like it's real," Smits told The Associated Press.
The technical aspects of a Lucas production are a marvel, said Smits.
