College-Level Star Wars Course In Oklahoma

Our friend Damon Blalack sends work of another Star Wars college course which kick's off next Friday in Oklahoma...

"I just noticed the story you posted about George Backen's Star Wars and Philosophy course. Every April I also teach a college level Star Wars course at Oklahoma State University-NOC, and would like to let fans in my area know about it in case they'd like to enroll: My next class will be a weekend intensive beginning this Friday April 22nd. The Mythology of the Star Wars Saga explores the underpinnings of the film series, and in particular how we as humans relate to the archetypal symbols woven throughout Lucas' work. The story of how world cultures, world history, and worldwide religions have all been surveyed in the creation of this evolving film series will also be explored.

Students will receive 1 credit hour in the Humanities for completion of the course, which requires a 5-6 page essay by course end. For more information, fans/students can learn more by consulting the OSU-NOC website at http://gateway.okstate.edu/. It's listed as ART 2661: Film Festival VI in the course book."
