Richard from the BBC South East sent us the following news:
"Thought you might be interested in a news item running on BBC South East Today in England this Friday (9th November).
We have tracked down a businessman called Giles Instone, who back in 1976 was responsible for getting all the props and film equipment for the Tunisia shoot over to Africa. It's the first time Giles has ever spoken about his Star Wars experiences. He talks about his memories of George Lucas, Sir Alec Guinness, the droids and life and work on set. The piece has been made with the full co-operation of Lucasfilm and includes footage from Episode IV, the Empire of Dreams documentary and behind the scenes stills from The Making Of Star Wars book published earlier this year. There's a couple of Star Wars-themed suprises too which fans will hopefully enjoy.
The film will run on South East Today on BBC1 at 1830 in Kent and Sussex, or at the same time on channel 983 if you have a Sky box.
Thanks Richard! It should also be noted that there will be a sidebar interview with Giles Instone in the next Star Wars Insider.
UPDATE: Friend of TFN, James E., sent us the follwing link to a print article at the BBC about Giles Instone. Click here to check it out, especially if you miss the video.
