Where did this shot come from? How did you do this?
A description of the origin of each shot and how I put together the major effects shots can be found here.

What software do you use?
I used a few pieces of software for this project. For the couple of time I needed a 3D animation package, I used Lightwave 3D. Editing was done with Adobe Premiere. When I needed to manipulate images, I used Adobe Photoshop. For everything else I used Adobe After Effects and the odd After Effects plugin.

Do you work at an post production/effects company?
No, nor have I ever. Right now I'm doing the odd bit of freelance web design, and all the tricks and techniques I have learned have been primarily self taught.

Why?
Why not? It's good practise and a great way to learn some new techniques. Roto-scoping can also.

Where's the shots of Obi Wan?
He is in there, though not as a full screen shot. To tell the truth, I sort of forgot. I was in such a hurry to get it done and over with, that I didn't realise I hadn't included a full body shot of him. Of course the main problem is that I hadn't found a shot of Ewan McGregor with a beard that I could use.
