a word from the director

A Word from Australian VFX Guy
Creator of "Episode II Fan Trailer"

This is my take on a fake Episode 2:Attack of the Clones trailer. I have addressed what I feel is a failing of previous fake trailers, in particular the one by the "Anonymous Director" that created quite the stir on the internet (this is not a dig at Mr Anon. I have great respect for what he came up with, it's damn hard putting together something out of nothing).

What's the problem I refer to? For me I think I recognised almost every shot used in Mr Anon's trailer, probably related to the fact that many shots came from big, contemporary movies. The challenge to myself was to see if I could create my own shots and use footage that would make people wonder 'where the hell did that come from'.

I think I succeeded on some counts but perhaps not others. At any rate, I hope you enjoy it and I would be interested to hear your opinions.
