Superhero Fan Film Festival in LA Posted By Kurt on August 9, 2005
Comig Book Resources reports that this year's Los Angeles Comic Book and Science Fiction Convention will feature a Superhero Fan Film Festival. Over an hour of fan made films will be shown, including a few that are no longer available online. Here are the details from the official press release:
THE SUPERHERO FAN FILM FESTIVAL will spotlight short films made by fans on limited budgets but unlimited imagination. The Festival begins at 11:30 A.M., and some of the films being screened include THE GAMMA PROJECT and DAREDEVIL by french film fan David Sarrio, and a rare screening of one of the earliest fan films, SPIDER-MAN, by Bruce Cardozo. Featured in an article in the Marvel fan magazine FOOM around 1975 when first released, SPIDER-MAN features appearances by KRAVEN THE HUNTER and GWEN STACY, and the story is based on issue #15 of the Comic Book.
The convention takes place on August 14 at the Shrine Auditorium Expo Center in Los Angeles, California. For more information, see the event's official website.
