Star Wars Fan Film Awards Canceled? Posted By Dustin on May 31, 2012
A recent inquiry about the apparent absence of the Star Wars Fan Film Awards organized by Atom.com and Lucasfilm has produced some sad news. The official word is that these are not happening this year. Apparently they are "looking for new ways for fans to share their creativity."
This is a bummer for sure as Fan Films began here at TheForce.net close to 15 years ago with a nice little number called TROOPS by Kevin Rubio. Since then many TFN staff have been involved in the production of many award winning Fan Films. You can see all of them on our YouTube Channel right here.
