Ryan Wieber and Michael "Dorkman" Scott, creators (and stars) of the popular Ryan vs Dorkman lightsaber duel, have announced their plans to develop a sequel, Ryan vs Dorkman 2. In fact, they've started a thread on our Fan Films forum detailing their production schedule and motivations for the project. Here's a snippet:

As many are probably aware, Ryan vs Dorkman (released here at TFN on March 1 of 2002) has had an incredible surge in popularity in just the last few months, thanks largely to sites like YouTube, Google Video, and eBaum's World. With a sudden fan base much larger and broader than just the folks here at TFN, we decided to seize the opportunity and start trying to put together plans to make another fight in the same spirit as the first, and hopefully better in all respects.

Well, we just recently secured our location and dates for the shoot. So RvD2 is now officially a go.

The RvD2 team has promised to post additional updates and respond to comments in their thread on our Fan Films forum. You can also visit their new website, RYANvsDORKMAN.com, which contains information about both the original film and the sequel.
