A Word from Rory Cejas
Director of "THE JEDI SAGA"
Hello to all! I must first say "THANK YOU" to all here at the TFN boards, without your help none of this would of been possible!
Well, my name is Rory Cejas, and I am a 26-year-old firefighter/paramedic with the City of Miami Fire-Rescue Department. One day in the summer of 2002 I watched the TFN fanfilm Emergence of the Sith and I said to myself "Wow, they made a great fanfilm with only 4 people, maybe I can too." So I began making The Jedi Saga as a bunch of test shots, and over time it began to improve with study of TFN tutorials and interacting with fellow fan filmmakers on the TFN boards. It was only inevitable that I was going to turn this into a fanfilm. Mind you I had no experience with filming , editng, CGI, etc.
So with the help of only 3 people (usually only 2 present during filming) my wife, my brother, and my friend, I was able to make my dream come true and produced a very worthy Star Wars story. The Jedi Saga was shot with a digital Canon GL-1 with post-production in Adobe Photoshop, Aftereffects, 3Dmax, and was compressed by Jeremy West.
I did not attend film school.
