A Word from John Hudgens
Director of "THE JEDI HUNTER"
The Jedi Hunter is the result of a dinner conversation gone awry...
I hadn't planned on doing anything so quickly after Darth Vader's Psychic Hotline (the recent finalist in Lucasfilm/Atomfilms Star Wars Fan Film Awards), as that project was a ton of work in a short period of time; but Denny's idea (sprung from an off-the-wall conversation over dinner) was too good to let go... and it didn't hurt that everyone else was gung-ho on the project as well...
Jedi Hunter eventually became a major shoot, as well as a coast-to-coast production... While the majority was shot over two days at locations around Knoxville, Tennessee, some filming took place with friends in California around a trip to San Diego Comic Con; so that really *is* Vasquez Rocks in here, and the Pacific Ocean up near Point Reyes lighthouse...
I should point out that Peter Mayhew is partly responsible for this... it's only because he cancelled a second dinner out with our group that we even had the conversations that led to this... had he actually gone out with us, THE JEDI HUNTER might not have happened... I'll leave it up to you to decide whether or not that's a good thing... {insert evil smirk here}
We all had a blast putting this together, running around with lightsabers and blasters and cool costumes... I hope you all enjoy it much as we did making it...
