TheWrap.com is reporting that JJ Abrams will direct Star Wars: Episode VII, which is due out in 2015, for Disney. This should come as no surprise, with Abrams being one of several directors who has been rumored to be in talks with Kathleen Kennedy for the coveted directing role.
Abrams is fresh off his movie Star Trek Into Darkness, and this will mark the first time an individual has directed a film in both franchises. Will this create even more dissension among Star Wars and Star Trek fans? We have the next year and half to find out!

It's Official: Star Wars Episode VII Rolls Cameras May 2014 Posted By Philip on March 18, 2014: StarWars.com has posted the news that the cameras will roll on Episode VII in May 2014. The release also goes on to say, "It has also been confirmed that Star Wars: Episode VII is set about 30 years after the events of Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi, and will star a trio of new young leads along with some very familiar faces.
