News Of The 501st Polish Outpost

Our friend Lukasz from Imperial City Online sent the following news from Poland:

"This just in - the members of the Polish Outpost of the 501st Legion have been asked by government authorities to take part in an official ceremony to celebrate the implementation of the Schengen Agreement for overland borders on Polish territories! The event will take place between December 20th and 21st on the Polish-German border in Slubice - Frankfurt (Oder). Details TBA."

UPDATE: See below for Lukasz's follow up:

"According to Cezary "Sizar" Zolynski, Polish Outpost CO, the event is being organised by the governor of the Lubusz region/voivodeship, Mrs Helena Hatka. Details concerning the actual celebrations are kept secret, however we can expect speeches and a fireworks display to be among the highlights of the programme. Polish Outpost troopers will also take part in the ceremonial crossing of the border bridge between Slubice and Frankfurt (Oder). The celebrations are scheduled to begin Thursday, shortly before midnight."
