The big reveal at the eFX booth was the new Legend Biker Scout helmet. The prototype for this new 1:1 scale helmet replica was created using the original wood sculpture and like other Legend releases accurately recreates the props used in the feature films. The helmet features a levered face mask and a hidden chin strap and cup.
The Biker Scout helmet wasn't the only new thing on display however, as they also had the 1:1 scale Darth Maul Legend Hero Lightsaber hilt, that was created using the hero prop the production gifted to Ray Park after the filming of The Phantom Menace. This prop made its way to a private collection, and eFX was able to use this historically significant piece to recreate the hilt. Holding true to the original prop, the Legend Darth Maul Hilt will have metal end caps, and a non-metal body.
One of The Old Republic Master Orgus Lightsaber replicas created for BioWare was on display. The original piece was created as a gift for the people that worked on the game, and the production run was limited to six hundred pieces. None of them were numbered.
eFX has stated their intent on creating a wide release, numbered version of this hilt, but it will be put on a standard stand and will likely have a production run closer to five hundred pieces, but this time out it will also feature a light up element. More to come on this soon.
Two new Lightsaber Reveals were on display as well. The Obi-Wan Kenobi A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back Luke Skywalker lightsabers take the concept into a new direction by adding a sense of history to the pieces. While the Return Of The Jedi featured machined pieces that looked rather sleek to match the scene in the film, the next two use older looking elements, creating a greater sense of evolution.
Lastly, but not least in any way, eFX will also be offering a Force Unleased Starkiller hilt.
