ATTACK OF THE CLONES
STYLE B RELEASE POSTER - 2002

NAME: AOTC Style "B" Release Poster
YEAR: 2002
DIMENSIONS: 27"x40" (One Sheet), Mini-Sheet
VARIATIONS: There are many foriegn variations on this poster as well as varying sizes.
FOLDED OR ROLLED: Most Rolled, Some Folded
DOUBLE OR SINGLE SIDED: Double and Single
FAKES: No
REPRINTS: A licensed Zig Zag reprint from Germany and a 24"x36" reprint.
INFORMATION:
This one-sheet, illustrated by Drew Struzan, places the two lovers in the larger framework of the galactic turmoil tearing the Republic apart. Struzan's signature style continues the look initiated with the Special Edition Trilogy release posters and The Phantom Menace.

When asked why Struzan did not include Count Dooku in this poster, he responded, "Originally I had designed the poster with him in it. George decided not to include him in the finished design. Perhaps you'll understand better when III comes out. George has his reasons."

These posters were made available by the Official Star Wars Fan Club in the single sided variety. If you hold a black light up to the back, you can see a glowing watermark that indicates its authenticity. It is located on the back of the poster in the vicinity of where Obi-Wan is on the front. It is about 2.25"x1" and contains copyright info. It can be found on the single sided version, but we have NOT found it on the double sided version of this poster.

Lucasfilm Watermark

George Lucas, Lucasfilm Vice President of Marketing Jim Ward, Art Director Scott Erwert, and Drew Struzan are credited with the creation of the poster.
