This is the first advance for Star Wars which happens to be the first actual theater poster made for Star Wars. It hit in the Christmas of 1976 at theaters that had already booked the film before the release date was announced (which is reportedly a mere 32 theaters). It is also called the Mylar because the letters and border are mylar making them very shiny. They were shipped flat to theaters because if these posters are rolled too tight then the mylar will more than likely separate from the paper. That is the story for most of these posters though. This poster is hard to find in good condition.
Notice that the Star Wars logo is not the logo that was later adopted. It was designed by Doyle, Dane, and Burnbach.
