Last week the TFN Party Planning crew was contacted by Lucasfilm about the conflict with our Celebration V party and the Last Tour of Endor event at Disney. LFL was not aware that our party conflicted with the Disney Endor event until recently when Star Wars Celeb we invited to our party (who wishes to remain anonymous) contacted them upset that s/he could not attend both Endor and our event. They in turn looked into things and contacted us directly early last week. LFL tried everything in their power to make our party and Disney mesh, but it simply was not workable.
They then asked us to consider moving the date of our event to another night. After some serious consideration and debate we agreed that moving the party to Thursday, August 12th would be a wise move. The Disney conflict is apparently why we have not had more celebs sign up to attend before now. Had we known that before we would have considered this move earlier.
As a result of our date change, we should be announcing several new guests who will be attending our event. Also, LucasFilm has kindly donated several pairs of tickets to the Disney Endor event to be raffled off at our party.
Unfortunately, changing our date to Thursday, August 12th means we now conflict with the Fans of the ForceCast party. We are working with the wonderful Fans of the ForceCast planning crew on the best way to deal with the conflict. What will likely happen is both events will still take place at their respective venues on Thursday. Both parties are adjusting their start and end times so there is less overlap between the two. The two groups are working together to come up with a “dual ticket” option which would allow people into both events for $50 total. Anyone who has already purchased tickets to both events will be contacted with in the next three days to work this out. Feel free to contact the Fans of the ForceCast party planner Joshua Stolte or TFN planner Dajuan Kinney with questions regarding the dual tickets.
We realize these changes may alter some people's plans and some paid guests may wish to refund their tickets. If you no longer wish to attend the TFN party please contact Dajuan Kinney and she will issue you a full refund. Send her your name(s), email address, and indicate what method of payment was used and a refund will be issued in the same manner (i.e. you will be mailed a money order or sent a PayPal refund as appropriate). This change may create a large email volume, so please give her at least three days to respond to any queries. If you have not received a response in that time, email again.
The party location (the Wyndham) will remain the same.
Because the change is on our end, we will extend the $30 ticket deadline to Friday, August 6th. Tickets will still be available at the door for $35 the day of the event. Any mailed payments need to be received on or before Saturday, August 7th. Again, please contact Dajuan for the address.
