Description: From the beginning, food promotions have been used to market the Star Wars saga to a worldwide audience. Food items represent one of the largest, oldest, and most diverse categories of collectibles with well over 10,000 different food-related packages, premiums, and store displays. Many collectors are familiar with the various U.S. promotions, but there have also been interesting and often obscure food promotions from over 100 other countries. From sausage, cola, and ice cream promotions for the original release of Star Wars to recent cereal and spaghetti promotions for the 3D re-release of Episode I, come learn about international food collectibles in this fascinating panel presented by Jonathan McElwain, Gus Lopez, and Duncan Jenkins.

Description: Real-world science not good enough for you? Need a lightsaber, hyperdrive, sonic screwdriver, or flying Delorean? Star Wars author (and failed PhD physics candidate) Timothy Zahn will offer some pointers on how to create your own science and technology and make it look real (or close enough). Topics will include how science works, how technology works, internal consistency, and a spot-the-flaw competition with unique yet lame prizes.
Star Wars and NASA: Science Fiction & Science Fact

Star Wars Patch Collecting and Trading

Description: We will dig deep into the stories of the various Star Wars clubs and groups that make patches for their members, as well as personal patches, and how to go about trading between clubs and groups. We will talk about how to set up a trading network with lots of tips on trading in person and through the mail. We will also look at some of the more humorous patches that exist and why they exist, as well as those hard-to-find military and Boy Scout crossover patches.

Behind the Scenes of the Cantina

Description: They warned us that this place could be a little rough, but we can?t help revisiting the most famous watering hole in the galaxy. Creature expert Tom Spina, who has devoted years to tracking the history of the cantina aliens, is joined by Nick Maley (part of the original UK creature crew) and Jon Berg (part of the original ILM cantina crew) to explore the secrets of this classic scene. With rare photos, prop reconstructions, firsthand accounts and some never-before-seen images, this one is a must for fans of the original Star Wars.

Celebration VI Exclusive! Star Wars: Smuggler?s Gambit

Description: Written especially for Celebration VI, Smuggler?s Gambit by Kyle Newman will be performed live by the best voices in the business at this world premiere. In the spirit of the classic Star Wars NPR radio dramas, Gambit finds everyone?s favorite smugglers Han Solo and Chewbacca face to face with their shady past, after realizing their decision to help the Rebellion has led to deadly consequences across the galaxy. Set between Episodes IV and V and created just for Celebration, this live performance stars voice actors Dave Collins, Tom Kane, Ashley Eckstein, Matt Lanter, Dee Bradley Baker, Matthew Wood, Clare Grant and Boba Fett himself, Daniel Logan. Written by Kyle Newman and FJ DeSanto, directed by Newman, and featuring sounds by Jimmy Mac.

Description: An insider's look at one of the most exciting and exclusive areas of Star Wars collecting - Original Film Props and Wardrobe. This in-depth discussion will feature a panel of professionals and collectors who have scoured the globe for original artifacts used in the creation of the Star Wars films. They will field audience questions and share their decades of experience, and slideshows showcasing dozens of never-before seen original Star Wars pieces now in private collections. Panelists will include collectors Brandon Alinger, COO of the Los Angeles office of Propstore of London, Gus Lopez, accomplished Star Wars collector and Tom Spina, effects artist and movie prop restoration and display specialist.

Description: Executive Producer/Director Shane Felux is best known from his first film, Star Wars Revelations, which created an internet phenomenon in millions of views and received worldwide attention for work that rivaled Hollywood production quality from his basement and backyard. Felux?s second film, Pitching Lucas, garnered both the George Lucas Select and Audience Choice awards in the 2007 Star Wars Fan Movie Challenge. Felux worked with ABC/ Disney executives on a new online sci-fi/action series titled Trenches, which was later shown on Sony's Crackle.com. Felux shares his knowledge from basement to studio productions, what it takes to get there, and everything in between.

From Fred Flintstone and Johnny Test to Obi-Wan Kenobi on Star Wars: The Clone Wars, James re-creates scenes with creative imagery and the power of his voice. Talking to Myself includes over 150 voices all by one man and one throat. It is a family-friendly show that inspires and entertains. Carrie Fisher: Date With a Princess starts at 7:30 PM. Always funny and often irreverent, Carrie Fisher is an audience favorite for both her onscreen and onstage roles. As the original princess with an attitude ? Princess Leia ? she holds a special place in the hearts of Star Wars fans everywhere.

The Hunt for Perfection: Star Wars Bounty Hunting Past, Present, & Future

As part of the discussion, panelists will cover traditional prop and costume making aspects such as sculpting, molding, casting and vacuum forming. Wally Contreras, Bob Gouveia, and Art Andrews presenting. Fetts, Bossk, Aurra Sing, and perhaps Cad Bane and Embo will be covered!
Unlearn What You Have Learned: Storytelling in an Evolving Galaxy

This is a no-frills panel that just comes down to Supervising Director of The Clone Wars Dave Filoni and Star Wars brain Pablo Hidalgo discussing the nuts-and-bolts of Star Wars storytelling, and what makes creating new adventures in George Lucas?s cinematic universe unique. Last Celebration, the two filled an hour ? and all the seats! ? with discussion, though-provoking questions, and illuminating answers.

Description: Join fan moviemakers Clare Grant, Rileah Vanderbilt (Saber 1 and 2), Eliot Sirota (Unlimited Power) and J.C. Reifenberg (Hughes the Force) as they discuss the how and why behind making Star Wars fan movies. Get some tips on how to produce your own fan movie without breaking the bank or needing help from ILM! The discussion topics will range from storytelling, humor and special effects, to on-set anecdotes, problem solving and getting your movie out to the public. There will also be Q&A and a small tribute to all Star Wars fan movie makers!
