Ken Lashley was mesmerized by the first Star Wars movie and has been a life-long fan ever since. He has been working in the field of comics and illustration for over two decades, starting at Marvel Comics and working for many of the majors. He has also done design work for toy companies including Hasbro and Mattel and has been Emmy-nominated for his work on FoxSports. Ken has done many pieces for Lucasfilm over the years and was a key contributor to the style guide for Revenge of the Sith. One of Ken's Star Wars illustration highlights was a stint at San Diego Comic-Con 2011 where he covered a Volkwagen Passat with Star Wars imagery live on the convention floor. He completed the car in three days using Sharpies -- 35 in all -- with little to no reference. In Ken's words -- "Best job ever." Ken currently is part of R.A.I.D., a group of very talented comic artists based in Toronto, Canada. Ken is also doing covers for DC Comics and toy development for Hasbro and Mattel.
Erik Maell has enjoyed a very diverse career freelancing as both a commercial illustrator and a fine artist. His work as an illustrator has included assignments for the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises, Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Topps Trading Card Company, Universal Studios, and Victoria's Secret Beauty Corporation. As a fine artist, he has shown his paintings in many solo and group exhibitions across the United States and in Europe.
