Gingal
this inexperienced Mon Calamari was a Commander in the New Republic, served as Pash Cracken's commanding officer while on station at the planet Xyquine. When the Empire attacked the New Republic there, Gingal was unsure how to retreat. He began to order the fleet to retreat, but Cracken interrupted him before he could broadcast orders to the entire fleet - and to the Imperials waiting to attack them. Gingal didn't allow his inexperience to get in the way, and took Pash's advice. The resulting tactic became known as the Cracken Twist, and saved much of Gingal's fleet.
