Advisory Council
this seven-member governmental body was created by the New Republic to act as a balance to the power of the Chief of State. The Advisory Council was also a sounding board for the Chief of State's ideas. The Advisory Council could revoke the orders of the Chief of State, and could impeach the Chief of State if five of seven members voted for it.
