a development firm located in the Corporate Sector, Galactic Electronics defied the Imperial ban on weapons sales and worked closely with the Alliance to develop the mag pulse weapon just after the Battle of Hoth. The Empire did not look kindly on businesses that defied its orders, let alone defied them in support of the Alliance. An assault on the company's Pondut research station left the company without a major research center.
