this form of protective clothing was essentially a vacuum suit with a small jet pack attached. These suits offered slightly better hard-vacuum protection than a standard vacuum suit, as well as the ability to make small movements with the jet pack. Because they were designed for light duty, the jet pack of a flitter suit was capable of a single thrust before requiring a recharge.
