this droid worked as a protocol on Cloud City until the prototype X0-X1 took control of the city. X0-X1 also took control of F-3PO and forced the droid to execute Doctor Issan Len. F-3PO retained enough of its original programming to regret the murder, but was powerless to stop X0-X1.
