this was the designation of a disruptor pistol produced by the Tenloss Syndicate during the New Order. Like other disruptor weapons, the DX-2 fired an energy blast that caused the target's molecules to become excited and lose cohesion, leading to the utter annihiliation of the target. This disintegrative affect made them illegal in most parts of the galaxy, but Tenloss maanged to continue to produce them for many decades.
