Dometown
an underground city that was built by Lando Calrissian and a group of investors on Coruscant, Dometown was designed to provide a tranquil place to live for the beings who worked in the hectic city above. However, the populace of Coruscant never warmed up to the idea, and the operation went bankrupt. During the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, the New Republic Defense Force began fortifying Dometown, hoping to use it as a refuge for the leadership of the New Republic. It was believed that they could survive an invasion of Coruscant within its walls, but some members of the Defense Force felt that the work on Dometown undermined the efforts of the New Republic to remain positive in the face of incredible destruction.
