this starfighter pilot served the New Republic as a member of Rogue Squadron during the second decade of the Republic's tenure. Dinger was killed during the Republic's investigation of the attack on the Free Lance by a Yuuzhan Vong warship. The Yuuzhan Vong were still in the area, and destroyed several starfighters before being driven off.
