this was one of the Vulture droid starfighters which was assigned to the Trade Federation's command ship, during the initial stages of the blockade of the planet Naboo. DFS-327 was given programming for defending the Federation's battleships during combat. It also had routines which allowed it to target key systems on enemy capital ships.
