this was one of the two primary factions of the Saurton race. The word "Des'mar" literally meant "forward-thinking". They considered themselves to be forward-looking visionaries who welcomed the prosperity brought to Essowyn by the mining operations which worked in the asteroid belts. They were in the minority in terms of numbers, but far exceeded the Quenno in wealth and power.
