this planet, located in the Outer Rim's Meram Sector, was best-known as the base of operations for the Glasfir Ring. It was originally founded by a consortium of Inner Sphere businesses, and served as a trading center for a mulitude of Outer Rim frontier worlds. Business to and from the planet virtually dried up with the onset of the Galactic Civil War, and Demesel quickly became just another backwater world known for its criminal underworld. The average day on this temperate world lasts 22 standard hours, and its year lasts 285 local days.
