CQ-3.9X
this personal, holographic image disguiser was produced by Corellidyne Holographics. It employed a CX-3.1 recorder to obtain a complete, three-dimensional image of what the user wanted to look like. The recorder stored the information and fed it to a CP-3.3 miniature projection unit for display. The CQ-3.9X was small enough to fit in a belt-buckle sized package, and allowed the user to move about in public with the appearance of another being. The size and shape of the disguise was not limited, but had to be at least the size of the user. A larger appearance could be discovered if the user was not careful to avoid walking "through" objects.
