this gang of Nautolans was based on Gamma Station, during the early years of the Galactic Civil War. Investigation into the disappearance of many independent starships near the station led to the discovery that the Rak'qua were acquiring the crews and passengers from the ships, which had been ambushed by Gamma Station bounty hunters. The kidnapped beings were then tortured before being turned over to the Empire as slaves. The Rak'qua were sworn to defend their practices against the gangs who were allied with Jorj Car'das, who controlled the upper levels of the station.
