this noted Hutt crimelord rose to power on the planet Ko Vari. When he died, many Hutts believed that Boonta had not simply stopped living, but had been welcomed into the state of godhood. To honor his ascendancy, the Boonta Eve holiday was created. The planet Ko Vari was also renamed Boonta, in his honor.
