Beauty Artist
developed by Lovolan, this stationary automaton was built to cater to all the needs of a woman's beauty routine. A built-in chair allowed a woman to relax in comfort, while the Beauty Artist applied skin cleansers, emollients, wraps, muds, and other chemicals to the body. The Beauty Artist monitored its subject's condition, and ensured that each ingredient was used for the proper time. These automata were often in the possession of the incredibly wealthy, although a few found their way into private spas. Many Beauty Artists were equipped with secondary attachments, such as massage hoods, manicure gloves, and beverage dispensers.
