Black Membrosia
this dark, potent form of membrosia was produced by the Gorog hive of the Colony, during the year following the discovery of the Dark Nest. In addition to being more potent, black membrosia also caused a form of debilitating, narcotic addiction among other insectile races of the galaxy. Where the regular, or light, membrosia was delicious to the taste, black membrosia was cloyingly sweet with a pronounced, bitter aftertaste. The appearance of black membrosia in the underworld of the galaxy told the Galactic Alliance that the Dark Nest hadn't been eliminated on Kr, and caused widespread drops in worker production among insectile races.
