according to Corellian mythology, the bestine was a brilliant blue gemstone that lured treasure hunters into a vast expanse of desolate wastes, where they died of thirsty or starvation while trying to find it. Many historians believed that this myth had something to do with the naming of the Bestine System, as well as the settlement of Bestine on Tatooine.
