this diminutive Sanyassan grew up on the Forest Moon of Endor, part of the group of Marauders that was stranded on the moon during the height of the New Order. In his youth on Sanyassa IV, Yavid was a member of the aristocracy, but was forced to work harder than his peers to earn respect, and he came to have a very cynical and sadistic nature. He was eventually taken in by the Marauders, who were later exiled and ended up on the Forest Moon. With the Maruaders, Yavid earned the rank of General under King Terak, providing tactical information that kept the Duloks and Phlogs at bay. It was also said that Yavid's efforts resulted in a truce with Morag, who had been planning to wipe out the Maraduers. When Terak was defeated by the Ewoks, Yavid assumed the position of King. However, he lacked the leadership skills necessary to keep the peace, and the surviving Marauders soon destroyed each other.
