this dark-skinned woman, distinguished by her tightly-braided hair and beaded dreadlocks, was one of the handful of Jedi Masters who led the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine, during the years following the Great Sith War. She remained on the Enclave's leadership team until the Jedi Civil War broke out. It was believed that Master Bala was killed in the conflict.
